The Tobacco Free Partnership of Clay County participated in the 2019 Clay County Fair from April 2nd-13th. The Clay County Fair is one of the largest events in Clay County and has over 100,000 people come through its gates.
Through the partnership between the Tobacco Free Partnership of Clay County and the Clay County Fair Association, this event has become a Smoke-free Event and allows residents of Clay County to enjoy a time with friends and family without concern over secondhand smoke.
On April 12th, 2019 the fair offered “Fair Day for Families” allowing all students free admission from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. The Tobacco Free Partnership of Clay County set up a table in the main entrance of the fair and provided educational materials, program information, Students Working Against Tobacco information and ways to join the Tobacco Free Partnership details. It was a great opportunity to meet with residents of Clay County of all ages and bring awareness to the goals and happenings of the Tobacco Free Partnership of Clay County.
The Tobacco Free Partnership of Clay County continues to focus on educating the residents of Clay County about the dangers of tobacco use, while also bringing awareness to current trends throughout Clay County.
